All Century Team??

Remember when this came out in 1999?  What would you change now, 12 years later?  Is Randy Johnson on here now?  Greg Maddux?  Alex Rodriguez?  Albert Pujols?  Is Bonds on there as a Starter?  It would be interesting to re-create this list again.

  1. Lets update the All-Century List to 2010.

Obviously, Clemens and McGuire need to be deleted. Type in Randy Johnson now instead of Clemens.

    Who replaces McGuire? Tex?

Not sure why Mark "How Big Can My Head Get" McGuire was ever there in the first place.

Also, not sure Ripken really belongs there at SS either. Type in Jeter? A-Rod?

Third base, would we keep Schmidt in there?

    NO changes to outfield.

    Pujols, Foxx? to replace McGuire?

  3. I think Randy Johnson is a definate on that list. Warren Spahn, Koufax and Johnson. He belongs on the Greatest of All Time. Just watch any game he pitched from 1993-2008...

McGuire needs to be replaced by Pujols. Foxx is amazing and so was Lou but Pujols will destroy every record known to man before 2020 and hopefully it's done steroid free. Plus, he's a Gold Glover. He's my pick. Tex doesn't quite have the long standing track record quite yet. Pujols has ten years of MVP seasons so far.

Arod may have earned the 3B title at this point despite my alligence to Schmidt. Definately take Ripken off there. Jeter is a stud. Just not right now.

It's a real shame about Clemens. He was REALLY good. '97 with Blue Jays?? Geesh...oh yeah. Steroids.
