totally right on.
Purge the hall, take away votes from about 200 hacks (alleged writers); especially all who didn't vote for Ricky on the first ballot.
Bob Costas for commissioner.

Agreed, there should be a massive reevaluation of the Hall.
ReplyDeleteCostas would be the best Commish, Jeter too.
That article was hilarious. Thumbs up for Roberto Alomar getting in this year though.
ReplyDeleteTen Gold Gloves and four Silver Sluggers. He's a career .300 batter with 210 home runs and 474 stolen bases. He also won two World Series championships with the Blue Jays.
Probably not a "Great" player, but certainly in the "very good" category.
The article makes a good sarcastic point. You can't be too picky with who you let in because eventually no one will get in.
I wasn't sure he was joking until he kicked out Mike Schmidt and Nolan Ryan...two of the best of all time. I'm with him though, those early day guys played before baseball, Yount, Molitor and those guys were not Hall of Famers, they were just really good. I grew up obsessed with Kirby Puckett. Kick his ass out. He played 13 years and was great but not hall of famer. He got sympathy votes for his eyes giving up on him and he was a nice guy. Then we found out he was a cheating d-bag. Kick him out.
